Something old, something new, nothing borrowed, not much blue. A marriage of sorts, Under My Mondrian Sky, is an exhibition that pairs new work with some older pieces from 2006 and 2007. On completing the new work, I thought that they would all sit well together, and show a development in my work over the past 10 years.
In recent times I have tended to show the other side of my work – the pieces based on connections and pathways, and which play on the way the world fits together and communicates (or doesn’t as the case may be).
For this show, my English sensibilities jumped on the Channel ferry and headed south for the hot Mediterranean. Colours that celebrate life to be lived, something we need to do every day – I hope that you enjoy the show.
