Painting forests still is my heart and soul. The five artworks in this show range from real places that I have visited to imaginary scenes.
The majority of my work encompasses landscapes in a more realistic approach, showing lots of detail and vibrant colours. A vital element in all my paintings is the presence of light. When I paint, I aim for a pleasing view of the painting from all sides and distances. Feel free to step a little closer for a different perspective if you like and check out some smaller details.
The paintings are for me and for you- the viewer, to enjoy and ‘get lost in’, to connect with in our own way and time, perhaps evoking emotions and thoughts from the past, future or the present moment. You might find a calm moment in your day or remember that ‘awe’ factor when being surrounded by trees.
