Katy Buess graduated in 1992 from Otago Polytechnic School of Art, Dunedin with a Diploma in Fine Arts (honours). Her prints and artists books have been exhibited in New Zealand and internationally. She occasionally teaches printmaking and bookbinding. In 2008/2009 she lived in Vanuatu, exploring Melanesian themes and expanding her art practice. Since returning to New Zealand she has set up a workshop in Invercargill.
