I have painted all my life, however some 20 years ago I experimented with watercolours and have since fallen in love with the challenges that the medium presents.
Since retiring from a life-long career in aquatics my wife and I live on a life-style block in the upper Waikaia valley which allows me to spend many hours painting in my studio.
I am a member of the Riversdale Arts, a group of amazing people who organise a fantastic multi media exhibition each year bringing quality art works from around New Zealand to Southland. I have exhibited works in Greytown, Riverton, Invercargill, Riversdale, Waikaka and at Watercolour New Zealand's Splash exhibition in Wellington.
During the past five years I have concentrated on recording, in watercolour, public and farm buildings of past generations and have been busy completing commissions for people wanting paintings of buildings in danger of collapse.
